Jack and I had our now-annual Mom and Me day at Disneyland Resort the day after Christmas. Determined to not miss the chance at FastPasses for Radiator Springs Racers again, I did some research before we went. Here’s how to get a FastPass for Radiator Springs Racers at California Adventure.

The line for FastPasses for Radiator Springs Racers starts forming long before the park opens every day. The gates will actually open 30 minutes before the park opens so you can get in line. The line forms in the front of Carthay Circle:

We arrived in line at about 8:20 and were able to get passes for between 12:20-1:20pm. Not a bad time! We have heard that FastPasses for this ride are usually gone for the day by 10am, so make this your first stop in the park!

If you haven’t heard of Radiator Springs Racers, here’s a video of the ride:

Jack loved the ride so much that he wanted to ride again! We waited in the single rider line for about 30 minutes and somehow were able to sit together-a welcomed surprise!

I’ve read that when you get to the FastPass machines, you can let some people go ahead of you until it gets to a time that works better for your group (for example, 12:30 would be during nap time for many, so waiting for a 3:00 pass would be preferred). Also, the Radiator Springs fastpass doesn’t keep you from getting other fastpasses, so you should pick up another one right away (I usually get Soarin’). Happy travels! :)
