Hi Disney Fans! I’m Allison from All for the Boys. It’s no secret that we LOVE Disney. However my oldest son has been driving me crazy lately with his unending knowledge of all things Disney. He’s in full blown fan mode! I thought it would be a fun writing exercise (and a break for me) for him to tell you some of his favorite Disney facts. Thanks for supporting him in his love!

Disney Facts

Hi, I’m Parker! I’m 10 years old and have been a Disney fan for as long as I can remember. Lately I’ve been reading a lot of facts about Disney and I’m going to share some of my favorite ones with you. Today I’m sharing some Disneyland facts I hope you like them!

  • Some of the audio-animatronics from America Sings (an attraction that used to be at Disneyland and The Magic Kingdom) are now in Splash Mountain at both parks. I think it’s cool that they keep some of the same characters after they close down an attraction.
  • Have you ever seen the petrified tree at Disneyland by the Rivers of America? They say it’s 75 million yeas old. Walt bought it as an anniversary gift for his wife in 1956.
  • I have always liked the Matterhorn – cast members have named the Yeti Harold! Now when we go on the ride we yell “Hi Harold!”

I hope you liked learning a couple of new Disneyland facts. There are a lot more where that came from!

Thanks, Parker! We love your facts just as much as we love Disneyland!

Hi Parker! I have a soon to be two year old named Parker and a 3 year old named Connar, and we currently live in South Korea (originally from Texas). We are going to be taking a trip to Tokyo Disney in April, so reading your facts made me even more excited. :) Thank you for sharing. I think it’s so cool that you love to research and soak up all the information you can.

My blog is: http://www.ourkindofhappiness.blogspot.kr/ in case you want to come there to see pictures in late April of Tokyo Disney. :)

HI Parker, what a cool interest you have. We live on the other side of the planet. in Auckland, New Zealand. Sadly Disneyland is too far away for us to visit although Max (8) and Reuben (7) would really love to go! Their daddy and I have been a couple of times on trips but it must be nice to live close.

  7. Jen says:

Parker, thanks for the information! We are going to take our 6 and 2 year old boys to Disneyland for the first time next month! We are from Colorado, and are really looking forward to the trip. I know my 6 year old will love your facts, and would probably also love the book you’re reading.

Hi Parker, cool facts. My boys are 4 and 5 and we are Disneyland nuts too. We go at least once a month. I heard that there’s a secret walkway in Pirates of the Carribean, I’d love to hear more about that and maybe even see pictures or video?

Hey Parker! What a fun post! I look forward to reading more from you. We took my boys to Disneyland for the first time a few months ago and they had a blast. Have you ever been able to find any “hidden Mickeys?” around the park? I always have my eye open but haven’t found any yet.

    • Parker says:

Thank you! I love to look for and find Hidden Mickeys. I have a whole book on where they are in the parks. There are a lot! I even told my mom where to find one on Soarin Over California on the golf ball.

    Hi Parker!!!
I recently met your mama. You have a beautiful FABULOUS mama. I absolutely love your Disney post and I have a sister that is 32 years old and loves everything Disney. It will never fade. It’s a magical place. Don’t you agree?
My son Ethan would love to visit Cars-land.
When ever we go, we look for all the hidden Mickeys on each ride. Oh, and I always take a picture of the room above the fire station because that’s where Walt stayed.
Also, I hear there is a secret club near Pirates. I learned all these “secrets” from my sister. :) Thanks for your fun informative post! xoxo

    • Parker says:

Thank you for reading! Disneyland is very magical. I think it’s cool that Walt made his own private room. The secret club near Pirates is called Club 33 and it’s REALLY expensive but so cool. I love looking for hidden Mickey’s too!
